Participants: All UNO students, staff, and alumni are eligible regardless of gender identity.
Prompt: This exhibition aims to feature artwork about feminine identity and appreciation. We are looking for art that exemplifies and celebrates the diversity of personal views, experiences, and appreciation of femininity and womanhood.
Eligibility: Artists can submit up to three pieces of artwork. Submissions do not guarantee acceptance into the show. Works cannot be submitted to more than one show at a time or have any overlap with another show.
Material: 2D and 3D artworks
Installation ready: All artwork must be hang-ready upon arrival. Canvases and frames must have hardware best for safe installation including a sawtooth hanger, eyelet hanger, and wire. Paper pieces may be free-floating (they will be safely pinned to the wall). If your artwork does not meet these hanging standards, it will not be included in the show. Please adhere your artwork to what you answer in the submission form. Feel free to contact with any questions regarding the preparation of your work for installation.
Portability: Works must be delivered and packaged for safe transportation, so package your artwork accordingly.
sales + commission: The artist will appoint MTG as the artists’s agent for the duration of the exhibition and will
receive 70% of the sale of each piece. Sales proceeds (if any) will be distributed to the artist AT MTG
via check following the exhibition’s conclusion.
Jury: Pieces will be chosen by an anonymous jury.
Liability: The libraries will not be held responsible for theft, loss, or damage of materials. Each artist must sign an equipment loan and exhibiting agreement at artwork drop-off.
Submission: All works must be submitted on the Google Forms document.
Deadlines
Call for art/writing opens: Jan 19th
Call closes: Feb 15th
Selection meeting/ notifications: February 23rd
Art drop off: February 28th
Exhibit Install: March 5th
Reception: Thursday, March 6th
